Longtime Palatine business owner Bob Kramer will be honored at an upcoming Business Spotlight event to commemorate his nearly 40 years in business, and his many contributions to the local community since 1979.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the banquet room at the Grand at Twin Lakes, 920 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine.

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz will attend the event and present Bob Kramer with a certificate of appreciation for Kramer Photographers from the Village of Palatine. In addition to owning one of the longest standing businesses in Palatine, Kramer has supported countless community events over the years through sponsorships, donated services to schools and charities, and a variety of other efforts.

In addition to his downtown Palatine studio, Kramer also owns Kramer Photographers locations in Naperville and St. Charles.

This event was organized by two of Kramer’s many friends, Nidya Marin and Jennifer Summerhill- Prislinger, who got to know him through the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce where Kramer serves on the board of directors. Kramer Photographers is also a member of the Downtown Palatine Business Association.

“Knowing Bob over the years has been eye opening; he has so many great stories and knows so much of Palatine’s history,” Marin said. “He is the kind of person that loves to give to others and doesn’t need to receive anything back. We thought it was time to give back to him.”

“I am proud to know Mr. Bob Kramer; he has been a dear and trusted friend, and I consider him to be a pillar of our community that is deserving of this type of tribute,” said Summerhill-Prislinger.

Kramer most recently was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his four decades in business at the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Keys to Success’ dinner in December of 2017.

This Business Spotlight event will include an appetizer buffet, two drink tickets, and cake. The cost is $10 per person, and registration is required, which can be completed by visiting Eventbrite.com and searching ‘Kramer Photographers’.
