October 1, 2013 (VMPR) – Palatine, IL.  During the month of October, Palatine’s Salon Lorrene will be celebrating a special milestone; its 15th year in business. In honor of the milestone, the salon will be offering a number of giveaways and specials for current and new clients during the month of October.

Located on Palatine’s west end at 833 N. Quentin Road, Salon Lorrene has continually maintained a strong customer focus since opening its doors in 1998; something that owner Lorrene Conino credits, in part, for its continued success.

“The key for us is consistent customer service; our standards are high and our customers know that,” said Conino. “We want them to love being at Salon Lorrene, and we have many events throughout the year to thank them for their loyalty.”

In 2011, Salon Lorrene expanded its location in the Quentin Corners shopping center for hair, nail and skin care.

The business can now accommodate large bridal parties with room to spare, in addition to having a beautiful make-up room with a spacious area for bridesmaids and family, Conino said.

Homecoming and turnabout specials also are available. Teens can take advantage of a $40 make-up and manicure add-on to hair services.

To highlight the anniversary, Salon Lorrene is offering a number of special offers and giveaways for both current and new clients between now through October 30.

Simply stop by Salon Lorrene, 833 N. Quentin Road, Palatine, and enter to win product packages from Aguage, TIGI, GloMinerals and Prive, as well as services such as manicures and pedicures, eyebrow waxing, facials, massages and haircuts.

Customers can take advantage of double stamps on retail purchases with the Salon Lorrene Retail Card. The free card entitles you to 10-percent off every retail purchase, and for every $10 spent, a stamp is earned. Once the card is filled, the holder receives 25-percent off their next retail purchase.

“I like to call Salon Lorrene a career salon. We train your stylists and help them develop careers as senior and master stylists; we have every level of expertise available for our guests,” Conino said.

Several of the current employees also have been with Salon Lorrene from the start, which Conino believes has also had a substantial effect on the growth of the business.

“Providing a pleasant and friendly environment for my employees is very important to me, personally. During quarterly meetings, we put our emphasis on customer service and interpersonal skills,” Conino said. “Our biggest asset is that we function as a true team.”

Conino, who also is vice president of local charity, C.A.T.I.F., said the salon’s customers like the fact that giving back to the community is another focus of the business.

“One of the things our clients love is that we give back to our community,” Conino said. “In addition to supporting C.A.T.I.F. events twice yearly, we do things like offer complimentary haircuts to people who have gone through cancer treatment and are recovering.”

Salon Lorrene is currently participating in the PINK HAIR FOR HOPE program in October, where proceeds from a $10 pink hair extension go directly to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

“I am always looking at how we can improve things at the salon.  It keeps us fresh and in tune with the flow of the business,” Conino said.
