FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

d’Vine Wine and Gifts Named Palatine Business of the Year

In addition to the recent accolade, the family-owned boutique wine and gift store has more good news – it will be moving to a larger Palatine location at the end of March.

February 25, 2014 (VMPR) – Palatine, Il. D’Vine Wine and Gifts, currently located at 742 E. Dundee Road in Palatine, was recently named Business of the Year by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s Key to Success Awards dinner held in mid-February.

Since its doors opened three years ago this month, the boutique wine store – which also carries out-of-the-ordinary gifts and recently added craft beer to the menu – has been extremely active in the community by hosting hundreds of wine tasting fundraisers for a variety of non-profit organizations.

“In this economy, it is so nice to be able to help raise funds for so many different causes while building relationships with people in the community,” said Liz Goeller, who owns the store with her husband Tom. The couple’s adult children, Megan and Chris, also are employed by the business, in addition to one full-time employee.

The store carries small production wines from winemakers around the globe, including Greece, France, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and Germany – in addition to selections from top American vineyards. Price points range on average from $15 to $30 a bottle.

For wine aficionados, and those who would like to learn more, d’Vine Wine and Gifts holds monthly complimentary wine tastings on the 1st Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and the 3rd Saturday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

d’Vine Wine and Gifts provides a number of cost-savings opportunities for customers with their 5 bottles for $50 offer, and wine club memberships which include two bottles of wine a month, and discounts off of individual purchases, as well as for variety cases.

Gift options include a wide variety of wine accessories including custom engraved wine glasses and bottles, wine cages and more.

The newer craft beer selections come from smaller production breweries such as Great Lakes (Ohio), Menabrea (Italy), Saugatuck (Michigan) and Brickstone (Bourbonnais, IL).

Due to the business’ success over the last few years, d’Vine Wine and Gifts will be moving to a larger location at 243 E. Northwest Highway in the Palatine Plaza Shopping Center, just east of Ace Hardware.

The last day of business at the current location will be on the evening of Saturday, March 22 at 6 p.m. d’Vine Wine and Gifts will re-open at the new location on Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m.-with a Grand Re-Opening Celebration from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. The new storefront will provide a larger wine tasting and new beer tasting area, expanded craft beer selections, ample parking and more ease coming in and out of the mall.

“It has been an honor to grow our business here in Palatine; we are humbled to have been awarded the Business of the Year honor and are grateful for the opportunity to continue doing business here,” Goeller said.
