Jingle Through Chicago’s Lakefront at the 6th Annual Santa Hustle 5K Saturday, December 6
November 28, 2014 (VMPR) – Chicago, IL. Grab some Santa friends and family, and jingle all the way through the 6th annual Santa Hustle 5K – which starts and ends at Chicago’s iconic Soldier Field. In 2013, nearly 8,000 runners and walkers took over the streets of Chicago to participate in the event, which is produced by Cary, Il.-based Adrenaline Sports Management.
Along with a Santa hat and beard provided for all race participants, runners [and walkers] will enjoy oodles of holiday cheer with Christmas music playing throughout the course-which runs along the streets and pathways of Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. Festive signs, cookie and candy stations and other seasonal goodies will help to bring even more holiday spirit to the windy city.
When the race is done, participants can hop on the FREE Santa Hustle Trolley and attend the After Party at Navy Pier. There, the top three male and female finishers in each age category will receive a customized Santa Hustle medal, as well as the top three overall male/female finishers who receive a Santa Hustle mug and special finisher’s medal. For those who choose to dress up their Santa accessories, the best individual and group costume prizes also will be awarded.
Proceeds from The Santa Hustle will benefit the American Cancer Society; the event has partnered with Team DetermiNation and also is an official drop-off spot for the Toys for Tots program.
