Downtown Palatine’s St. Patrick’s Celebration is Saturday, March 11 

 

This annual event includes s Traditional Irish Breakfast, Parade, and Irish-themed Epic After Party at Durty Nellie’s. Parade participants and sponsors currently being sought.

 

February 6, 2023 (VPR) Palatine, IL – Irish eyes will be smiling once again on downtown Palatine Saturday, March 11 as St. Patrick is honored with a Traditional Irish Breakfast, Parade and Epic After Party, sponsored by Durty Nellie’s, in partnership with Vicarious Multimedia.  Thank you to the Durty St. Pat’s sponsors, A Closer Bond, offering dog training, boarding and daycare, and Redfin, a technology-powered residential real estate brokerage.

 

“Our name was actually inspired by the infamous Irish pub, Durty Nelly’s, in County Claire, Ireland, so celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in true style has been our commitment for the last 11 years,” said Durty Nellie’s Owner Jimmy Dolezal. “We’re honored to lead the charge in celebrating all things Irish through this community event as we all look forward to Spring!”

 

The Traditional Irish Breakfast will be served from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Durty Nellie’s, the Durty St. Pat’s Parade steps off at Wood and Oak streets at 11 a.m., and the Epic Irish After Party will follow at noon, and include Irish music, dancing, food, merriment, and shenanigans.

 

The Irish breakfast will include rashers, bangers, eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, Irish soda bread, black pudding and hashbrowns – along with fruit and pastries. The cost is $25 per person and includes an Irish-themed cocktail. *Irish Breakfast guests can save their receipts and present them for free cover (one receipt per cover) on Friday, March 17 to enjoy Irish food and entertainment on the official St. Patrick’s Day, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

 

The parade begins at Wood and Oak streets, heads west on Wood Street and ends at Durty Nellie’s. The Epic Irish After-Party begins at noon and will include fan favorites such as the Trinity Irish Dancers, bagpipers and Pat McCurdy, along with returning bands and first-time performers – all with an Irish accent! An Irish-inspired menu will also be served from Friday, March 10 through Tuesday, March 21 to honor St. Patrick just a wee bit longer.
