Country FinancialA huge thank you goes out to Country Financial, the Platinum Level Sponsor for the 1st Annual First Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day. The event will be held in Fishel Park in downtown Downers Grove on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Country Financial® is nearing an impressive 90-year anniversary in business.

That stronghold and staying power in the marketplace has served the company well over the years. Founded in 1925, many may not know that part of its roots are in agriculture. After starting in business as a homeowners insurance company, Country Financial® began insuring farms as well prior to 1930. Auto and life insurance were added on as customers needs grew, and now the company offers a wide array of insurance and financial planning solutions across 17 states – still serving families, farmers and a vast business clientele.

Mike Flynn, a Country Financial® agency manager in DuPage County, Illinois credits the highly consultative approach the company takes to its continued success. “We build our relationships locally through both individuals and businesses. Our philosophy is to build lasting relationships by always doing what is right for the client or prospect,” Flynn said.

That respect has gone a long way in keeping Country Financial® highly visible among many competitors in the industry.

“We have found that our portfolio can help any individual or business. Country Financial is not just about insurance; many times our conversations start out that way, but then it moves toward retirement planning, educational funding, or legacy planning,” Flynn said. “The most important thing is that we listen to each individual concern or question and our clients achieve goals that help them achieve THEIR idea of financial security.”

Join Country Financial® and our other sponsors [to be highlighted soon] as we celebrate the unwavering commitment that first responders make on a daily basis-providing for the public’s safety – and many times risking their lives to accomplish this task. Charitable beneficiaries of the event will be the 100 Club of DuPage County and the 100 Club of Chicago/Cook County. Both organizations support the families of firefighters and police officers who are killed in the line of duty.

Every attendee at the event can register to win A TRIP FOR 4 TO CANCUN provided by Travalati, or one of two IPAD MINI’s, courtesy of Country Financial®.

The First Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day will be full of entertainment for the whole family. Spectate as area first responders battle through a six-station obstacle course on the park grounds, as the kids enjoy bouncy houses, face painting and a caricature artist. Home Depot will be giving away building sets for the first 300 children who attend. A business showcase of more than a dozen area businesses will feature giveaways, special offers and more and musical entertainment will be provided by Chicagoland rock band The Belvederes. Food and beverages will be provided for purchase by Skuddlebutts.
